Are Marriages Not Important as They Once Were
Tying the knot used to be an important part of peoples lives, the day was always celebrated and much loved.
But as days pass and things advance people change there thoughts about certain aspects of life. I have noticed that a lot of people lately just do not take marriage as seriously as they used to. More and more people in the globe just want to be independent on their own and do not want to have such a big commitment such as marriage.
Surveys have shown that marriage is the biggest commitment you can make in life, this sits above having kids and getting a mortgage. So why do people hate getting married? Lets take a quick look at a few options
1) They cannot afford it, weddings these days are just so expensive for a nice wedding you are probably looking at shelling out around 20k.
2) Divorces are in high figures so people just dont want to get married.
3) They believe that it is only a piece of paper and does not mean much.
4) Getting married used to be about religion and believing in aspects such as sex before marriage. This is not really the case anymore as not many people are religious in this day and age.
Whatever you think about marriage I still feel that it should definitely be more thought about over the long term. Getting married shows the whole globe how much respect you have for your other half, it shows that you want to share and trust sharing things with them such as companies, homes and vehicles.
