A Perfect Tea Party In A Lovely Kids Playhouse
A tea party in a kids playhouse can be a very memorable “kids only” event. Your girl will be thrilled to hostess her first tea party in her playhouse, when the special day arrives.
It takes a small bit of planning to throw an amazing event for your girl and her friends.Some things to plan are the creating of the invitations, menu decisions, preparation of food, steeping of the tea, and setting a lovely formal table.
Start with the menu, which should be simple and have kid-friendly foods. Food items in the “mini” form are perfect for tea parties. For example, mini brownies, mini slices of lemon pound cake, mini scones, and mini-sized sugar cookies.
Great finger foods for kids are: strawberries, grapes, carrots and snack mixtures such as trail mix or a blend of gold fish crackers, raisins and M & M’s.Crustless peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or ham and cheese sandwiches cut into fun shapes are kid friendly and go over well with children.
Foods that stain easily, create a lot of crumbs or are sticky should be avoided. Since the party is in a kids playhouse, these rules can be bent.
Generally tea isn't liked by many kids, so you may want to offer pink lemonade, apple cider or fruit-infused teas. Also, don't forget to serve sugar cubes in a sugar bowl!
Check out local yard sales, flea markets or thrift stores for real tea cups, suacers or a tea pot, if you already don't have those items. Tea cups that are smaller for little hands work best for kids tea parties.Kids really like to stir their "tea" and add the sugar cubes with small spoons.
Add a touch of elegance to the kids playhouse with a beautiful linen table cloth and matching linen napkins.When you set the kids table, upgrade from plasticware and let the kids use silver flatware, china plates, real tea cups and saucers and a fancy tea pot.
Don't all girls love to dress up? Your guests can arrive already dressed up or you can have available a trunk of dress up items such as a varitey of dresses, tiaras, boas, gloves, purses, hats and jewlery. Perfumes, hair barrettes and make-up can also be available to the guests.
Your child will enjoy helping design, cut out, and decorate the invitations.Using paints and sequins, decorate invitations that have been cut into tea pots and tea cups.Remember to inform your guests that they should arrive at the kids playhouse for the tea party!
A kids playhouse is the perfect setting for a tea party with friends.Your girl will love this special day with her friends and you'll be happy with the end result.
