Cuttlebug not working?
I purchased a Cuttlebug this afternoon. I am SUPER excited about it, but when I go it home and assembled it, it is NOT working. I installed the crank as directed. I made the sandwich, A plate, B plate, Cuttle provided cutter (foam side up), paper, B plate. It does not cut. I then added a few pieces of 1/16" chip board. It finally cut one side, but the other side didn't even mark the paper.
Any tips? I am really frustrated and waiting for Provo to respond.

The foam is attached to the die. It came this way. I don't believe that I should remove it because it has writing about installation on it.
Well, I just got off the phone with Provo Craft and it appears that my Cuttlebug is defective. They are sending me a new one. It should be shipped today! It is amazing how good customer service helps everything.

I do not understand your comment "it cut one side but not the other side" You should have one die cut and one piece of paper. I don't think you should be using the foam. Space bar, cutting pad, paper, die, cutting pad-then run it through.
On this web site the Sizzix machine is just a bit more money- and can do so much more than the Cuttlebug. The Sizzix machine can cut all sizes of die cuts and all different brands- Cuttlebugs, Sizzix, Spellbinders, Quickutz- It can cut through chip board, vellum, fabric...
Much better machine.
