Get Excellent Embossing Results with Embossing Tools
Embossing can be defined as a technique used to create a raised image or text on metal as well as non-metal surfaces. This technique is performed by using embossing tools, dies, stamps, powder and other embossing stencils. The tools are used to emboss the surfaces raise the pattern out-lines from the surface. The embossing designs are very popular due to amazing effects crated through the proper use of embossing tools and dies. This is the reason why many people prefer embossing over other designs. It adds style and charm to your craft projects.
There are mainly four types of custom embossing which given different feel to the stamped image.
• Registered Emboss – It is an embossed image that directly registers to a printed stamped image.
• Blind Emboss – In this type, the color of the image is the same as a metal or non-metal surface and the embossed image is not stamped over a printed image.
• Combo Emboss – This uses the foil stamped emboss.
• Glazing – Under this type, the embossing appears to be polished.
During the embossing process, the positioning of the paper is crucial. The paper in inserted in the direction of the hand of the embosser. It is necessary to state the hand at the time of making the order. The image will get distorted if placed from the right side with bottom handed embosser. If the image is placed from the top of the page with the bottom handed embosser, the image will be upside down.
At the same time, it is important to make the correct use of embossing tools as a single mistake can result in loss of quality and elegance. Always make sure that the image holds bold fonts without the fine details. The embosser holds a text in a circle with a graphic in between the inner and outer circle and available in many shaped and sizes.
