Best processor (for the money) on the market?

I was in the middle of building a computer and was planning on buying a Sandy Bridge processor from New Egg and to my disappointment they took it off of their shelves because of a problem.

Should I wait for the Sandy bridge to come back, or should I go with another processor? If so, which on.

Used for gaming and CADD design.

Well, Core i7 / X58 is STILL the enthusiast platform, regardless of Sandy Bridge. So you might want to consider that, or, continue waiting a few more months 'til Sandy Bridge is back on the market.
